Just a heads up as we get asked a lot about when we're getting more vamo connectors.

We've designed our own and massively over engineered them. So the new ones will be all stainless steel ,including the threaded centre section which is plated brass on the originals and clones. Yes, vamos got cloned too which is why they are so cheap now. It seems that the quality of the connectors suffered even more with some of the clones too.

A spring loaded pin means there won't be a gap or wobble so realistically these should more than outlast the vamo they're fitted to :0

OCD Vamo Connector

Expected early September. I know that's a bit of a wait but we have to confirm the final samples then arrange production

Just what the Vamo needs! You should've been consulted before they went into production. :D

Anyone want to test the prototype?

These replacement Vamo top caps are fantastic. The Vamo I have appears to have been constructed from chocolate, with a foil covering to hide its feebleness. The new top cap arrived this morning (thanks Rob) and I was taken aback at just how solid these caps are.As can be seen in the pictures, the 510 is probably triple the thickness of my old cap.I was also pleased to see that the constant fiddling with a pointy object to raise the centre-pin back up on my old cap has been sorted with a sprung pin in the new cap.The underside of these new caps is very easy to solder to,there's a small blob of solder on each connector and the negative pin appears to be brass/copper so attaching the negative wire was a "1 poke with soldering iron" difficulty rating,as was the positive.
