It's not the ohms that controls how fast coils heat up, it's the applied power and mass of the coil. Big thick heavy coils will need more power and take longer to heat up than small light coils, however big coils have more surface area so can heat more juice at once. I didn't know there was a 22awg, the 24awg is like fencing wire, so gotta get me some 22awg.
