On the phone to PayPal - misinformation it seems

Ok an update. I have got them to remove the PayPal Here and reserve so my account now has a dribble of cash available to stock juices back up at least but:

Having just got off the phone with Payment Sense, thanks to leisureliquids suggestion I can confirm that they have no issues with ecig related businesses and no plans to have any problem with them either. The long and short of it is that in 72 hours my primary method of payment will switch to their gateway.

For fellow vendors, their rates are pretty damn good, £10 or £15 per month for the gateway and merchant account which includes virtual terminal (it depends on turnover but at £15 per month it is a decent amount and £10 p/m would cover most startups)

1.8% fee on credit card processing
28p on debit cards

Setup Charge is £99 and once agreed it takes 72 hours to get you on the system, they also supply a load of cart software plugins which goes above those I typically find offered.

Find a mail alternative and we are laughing

I hope we can find something as the more I read this thread the more I get worried about the future of vaping

I wonder if my bank still issues cheque books?

In all seriousness, I wouldn't mind handing my card details to people who I have dealt with before, which includes most vendors that have contributed to this thread. It would make me wary of trying something new from a start up, or buy from overseas.

If it all goes tits up, mail wise as well, I will just have to get a train up to Sheffield to get my T-Juice fix. (And enjoy a pint or two in one of the fine hostelries). That won't work for most of my other favourite juices though.

I looked into them - although I don't sell anything ecig related, I decided to have a look if I cna use them instead of paypal for my soap business. But sadly no, they don't work with my ecommerce site.

Will go take a look at Payment sense, thanks for the info!

I still remain an optimist. While it seems likely that PayPal will eventually stop supporting e-cig transactions in the EU someone else is going to fill the void.

you can already go to some websites and buy (almost) anything you want using bitcoins, illegal or not, doesn't matter.

If there is a large legal market where a payment processor can make a pile of money by processing transactions that the 'big boys' don't want, then you can bet the farm that it's going to happen and in a few years we might all be using Payment Sense or someone else like them. It's how capitalism works.

Good to hear things are looking up for you PlumeBlu :)

i think the courier side of things you would be hard pushed to find any that actually allow liquids. having checked myhermes ( which is about as close as you can get price wise to RM but takes upto 5 days or more longer they have a list of goods not covered by compensation and a list of excluded goods both of which include one way or another liquids and batteries.
think its about time a vaping shop opened in croydon..
nearest one to me i think is Sutton ( vendor on here) but no idea what they stock or if they have an online website
edit just checked yup online store but sadly currently the range of eliquids is very limited and no mechs or mods

Up in smoke sell e-liquids these days, no hardware last I looked though.

I'm going to start selling flavoured sweets, and give away a free bottle of matching e juice.
