Thanks for all the info VaperCaper. I do tend to overworry about things and want to be safe. With a friend having a bad reaction it got me a bit concerned. I don't know the full story though, only what he chose to tell me. It's quite possible he got some bad liquid and as a heavy smoker, probably vaped himself sick with dodgy liquid, but I don't know.

It's natural to want to make sure things are safe. I think vapers as a generalisation tend to want to err on the side of safety. 99% of us had long smoking habits and spent years putting all kinds of bad stuff into our systems so some of us, me included, want to be sure that our new habit isn't more of the same.

I get e-liquid on my hands every day. When I'm done refilling or cleaning out my tank or whatever it was that I was doing to get my hands juicy I wash it off and I've never had a problem. If I'm using nicotine base and making my own juice I wear gloves and am very careful with that stuff as it's much stronger. If I get a headache when I'm vaping, I stop vaping.

I was a 20 a day rollup smoker for more years than I want to remember and a year or so after I switched I feel much healthier. On top of that I've met a lot of great new people thanks to my vaping, and I actually enjoy vaping whereas I smoked because I 'had to' to scratch the nicotine itch.

Been in Salisbury a couple of years now and it's a nice part of the world. It's a town with a big spiky church though, it's not a city

Haha, it's a city!! The cathedral has the worlds oldest, and still working, clock at 500 years old and also houses the magna carter (or one of). Lovely place. Steeped in history...and has a wicked tattoo shop.

Yes, I was a rollie smoker too. GV with a filter tip. Still buy the odd pouch now and then as nothing beats actually smoking (for me anyway) but am keen to try out this vaping malarky. Had a few cheap and cheerful little e-ciggies in the past but nothing of this scale. This is a whole new world opened up to me... and so many flavours!

Thank you to Leisure Liquids. Got my bottle of e-liquid today.
Someone mentioned the Veronica Gold tasting like an ashtray and not like baccy. I actually like it. Doesn't exactly taste of baccy and maybe slightly ashtray-like but it's a nice ashtray/baccy taste. Even better with a drop or two of tactical orange. Very nice.

So, I have now been vaping for a whole week...and I am LOVING it!!
Wish I had found this forum and these great little vape sticks much earlier though, but better late than never. Am now trying to sway everyone I know who smokes to try vaping instead of smoking. I am on a mission to convert smokers everywhere. I'm such an excited newbie!

Have just ordered a batch of different flavours to try and can't wait. The only problem now is that I don't have enough tanks to try them all at once!...Oh the perils of vaping.

Tuesdays I usually go shopping with a friend so I shall be working on her tomorrow, she is a 20-30 a day taylor-made smoker and is always saying she wants to give up but doesn't even get past the first day.

I had two friends telling me for ages to switch to vaping but it wasn't until I went on holiday with one that I was convinced it was for me. It's actually quite scary giving up cigs for e-cigs and, while I'm evangelical about it now, I understand why some people find it a difficult move. It's down to all of us to keep spreading the message!
