I'm buying an Orchid V3 pretty soon (as in next payday) but I'll still have to wait on my IPV3, so I'll have to run it on my Fuhattan. I personally have never ran a genesis device on a mechanical mod. Is there any do's or donts I should be concerned with? Or rather... Can I even effectively run an RBA on my mech without my wick falling behind?

I may be wrong, but I don't think an "Orchid" is a genesis type RBA....It's more of a kayfun type atty...

I guess that shows my knowledge on anything but drippers!! But if it'll fire and work on a mech, that's what I'm after!

Just keep the resistance low, below 1 ohm. It could be that my mechs don't deliver, but I've found they struggle to fire a Kayfun above this.

I run my Kayfuns (and pretty much everything else) at 1.4-1.6 and they work fine on a mech.

What mechs are you using Ment?

I've got a Maraxus clone which is pretty useless, an original Novus which is great at low resistance and a Hades clone which is the best of the lot but still struggles at 1.2 and over.

I have a copper Stingray clone on the way which should enlighten me a bit more.

I'm running my v3 at 1.4 ohm dual coiled on a Virtus and it's just fine :)

running my orchid v4 at 0.6ohms , works a treat on mechs :)
