A small section of the WHO paper says that it requires manufacturers to desist from using the term ecigarette or similar names because they 'create confusion' with combustible smoking products (glad at least they know the bloody difference)
World Health Organization wants regulators to ban the word 'e-cigarette' - Washington Times
They refer to our devices as Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems or ENDS and have done as long as I can remember (see my sig)
Now I've seen many Vapers over my four years + of using them suggest the same thing. They don't like the term ecig for example. In some circles and as the tech has developed the word 'ecig' has become synonymous with a cigalike first generation. Better devices become vaporisers or simply 'mods' though mods wouldn't seem appropriate for say an ego style device
I have never liked vapouriser if I'm honest. I like ENDS even less. I can't think of any other term I either like or that adequately describes the whole range of devices we use.
