A real noob mixer here.

I made a 50/50 mix of Perpetua's Vanilla Custard Capella E-Liquid Recipes
Very simple (20% Capella Vanilla Custard, 5% French Vanilla) and very, very nice.

I wanted to add a bit of butterscotch so I used 15% VC and 5% PA butterscotch.
Utter train wreck; neither custardy or butterscotchy.

I decided to investigate PA Butterscotch on it's own.
I made a 55/45 mix with 20% PA Butterscotch and a bit of sweetener (2 drops EM, 2 drops PA sweetener in 10ml).
I have to up the power (to 11W) in an IGO dripper to get flavour but even then it's a bit bland. It's not really sweet either. It sorta kinda needs "lifting" but I've no idea how.

Any suggestions please?

@atomised give this one a go...

Butterscotch-8%
Dulche de leche(caramel works too)-3%
Cream-2%

Let it steep for about 2 weeks(or longer if you can bear the wait) and you're good to go

Great! Thanks muchly. I shall give that a try next week.

How'd it go ?

I tried rescuing my mix with ddl and some bavarian cream. Definitely better!
After I've moved house I'll cook up the recipe from scratch as I can see it's going to be delish. eventually.

I just bought some Butterscotch ( FW )
Will try this recipe out this evening i think.

Also, gonna try this.

Capella VC 9%
FW Butterscotch 6%
Sweetener 3%
EM 2%

Will keep ya posted ;)

I find a bit of gentle heat and vigorous shaking is enough to get custards roughly right for vaping. Mine do benefit from steeping for a day or two but the change isn't enough to wait for! I don't have the most educated palate though.

A couple of recent happy finds:
Capella Sugar Cookie - very nice at 20%

justvape247.com Kandi Hed Espresso Cream at 15% + 10 drops Bavarian Cream + 2 drops EM - good, been vaping it all day instead of custard.

My butterscotch juices usually require a minimum 3 day steeping to become lush, straight out the mixing bowl they're somewhat harsh.
