Hi. When I started vaping, being a terrible allergy sufferer, I thought I better go full VG. Err, no flavour at all to me even though I went to a vape shop and had then mix me something. But, I did get some initial throat issues, bit of a swallow thing, lumpy, not an actual physical lump just a feeling that may have been more a getting used to it thing. My misses, no allergies. Tried her vape after a couple of weeks and things seemed to settle. At first I thought "pg issue" but it wasnt, it was just get used to vape issue which turned out to be nothing. So went from 100% vg to 65vg/35pg and have had no problem since. And I am an asthmatic with more allergies otherwise than one can poke a stick at. But PG for me is not one of them at all. Many people who start vaping feel a tightness or something, its just an accosomisation (my spell check don't recognise my effort there) to actual vaping. It passss very soon. I felt it like I said but now it is a non event.
Maybe you do have PG intolerance, but I'll back it being what myself and others had, nothing but just getting used to it. Remember being a new smoker!? Wow, much worse than a bit of "gee, my throat feels a bit tight and lumpy"! It was cough your guts out, hoarse raw throat, tastes like im licking the bottom of a barbeque refuse.
The general rule of thumb that I know of is give it three to four weeks, if you still feel like you are swallowing a golf ball then maybe it's PG.
