Perhaps the added quotation marks will help you understand the point of the sentence? Its not MY opinion but those voiced in a number of responses since the media jumped on the prescription bandwagon.

This is a quote from somewhere else, not Mark's opinion. The news is likely to be spun this way. Although to be honest the removal of each smoker from a life of tobacco is going to cos the state tax income, so funding each smoker to become a lower tax payer is going to hurt. So where will the boys in blue replace the dollar from? Do you think that every smoker should be chucked an iStick and a tank to help them off the ciggies?

I think this thread has a real point to it.
I don't vape as a NRT aid to stop.
I vape because I bloody love Nicotine and vaping and this is a much safer way to do it.
It seems a shame that the report comes with this ecig prescription attachment, it kind of devalues it for me and makes me paranoid about the TPD and big pharma interests.
Why can't I just enjoy nicotine and vaping without this guilt trip shite?
I can't put it into words so well, but without the NHS/Pharma addon I would be happily showing this to friends/relatives but they kind of had to bring something in to fuck it up a bit.
So very good news, but still a slight smell of cack to it like that guilty feeling you get when you kind of remember shitting your pants but dont know where you put them.

Kind of my point. Good news about the 95% safer etc (first time a government agency has been so positive) but the press has latched on to the NRT aspect. With predictable reaction. Hence my remark...which has been taken to have been mine
