The engraving wouldn't make it more solid... Don't 100% listen to what I'm saying, it's just my opinions... The octopus is still a decent mod and if you prefer that over the plug then go for it, it ll be your mod so your choice at the end of the day...
It would be nice way to start but as you mentioned its your first mech, make sure you fully understand what you are doing with a mech before you start using it...I like both but I can afford only one, plus as I said I don't like red, this will be my first mech plus my ultimate goal is the limelight. But I guess the Octopus would be a nice way to start my collection
Squeeze is a good starting point and does have some built in protection, where a full mech doesn't so just be extra careful when using it...
