What is the whole point in mech mods guys ? Excuse my ignorance i dont know anything about them,

I saw a reply to this question somewhere else so if I can I will paraphrase.

Pro's:
No electronics to go wrong, they will last a lifetime if properly maintained
Look cool
Once you get a good build they vape very well
Simplicity

Con's:
You have to know Ohms law so you don't blow your face off
Not for beginners
You have to build accordingly
They require a lot more maintenance such as cleaning (I spend a couple of hours a week on maintenance)
At mech mod level its gone past an alternative to smoking, its a hobby in its own right

I personally liken it to a car. You can go and buy a nice car (Standard vaping device regulated mod with a tank) that runs well from a dealer but the vast majority of people will have something similar to travel around in. Or you could buy a small run handmade car (Mech mod) which you spend hours maintaining and cleaning but will stand you out from the crowd, this then becomes your hobby.

No problem, ask anything you want here, good question. Here's a few of my reasons, others may differ:
  1. There's not a chipset limited us telling us how we can vape; mechanicals have no limits, ex DNA & SX devices limited to maybe 60w, 150w, etc.
  2. We have the ability to build low if we want unlike regulated where .1Ω or .05Ω may be the lowest resistance that device could fire. (most mechanical users understand amp load/ohms, have good knowledge of the battery we're using, and build accordingly)
  3. You drop both your regulated box and a mechanical tube on the street as you get out of your car, your regulated device (internals, screen, fire button, etc.) would probably break into pieces not function well, Chinese parts and pieces on the ground.. then you check your mechanical tube and it STILL fires. It didn't even faze it.
  4. Authentic mechanical mods tends to keep their value whereas regulated devices plummet in value as "hype" drains and newer products flood the market.
  5. The simplicity of using a mechanical; no screen, no setup, no saying 1-2-3-4-5 to turn on before we have to vape. Just push a button and works every time no matter what, no silly error codes or check atomizer or bugs in the software. I love keeping things simple; let science and nature do its part.

I love them pencil style mods, really stylish

@VenomX - with all due respect pleeease do not consider getting yourself a mech...you're a sensitive little lamb and you appeared to get stressed out badly enough about rewicking a RDA. Your rebuildables thread that turned into like a 12 page epic?
We're here to help ya with questions and hold your hand whenever ya need, but for the love of PotV's sanity don't start with mechs...be safe xxx
