Good evening Apes.
So I've been playing about with temp control again and I've actually got a satisfying vape for a change in TC using Nichrome.
Anyway I was curious to know people's preference in what wire they use.
So what wire and what Guage is your preferred?

I've been using 317L SS and I've got to say that the flavour is amazing.. Been building using 23 gauge wire on my RDA's and loving it ! Just twisted it as well now so gonna try that soon. If you do try SS, I suggest building spaced coils and do not dry burn them. Just build, wick and juice ! ;)

Have this on my Velocity atm

I thought nichrome wasn't suitable for TC vaping, although I think I've seen a you tube video on a mod that could do that.
I like NiFe30 and titanium but have actually been using ss316 exclusively for the past couple of months as it is very quick and easy to work with and if you get the resistance high enough, provides a pretty stable TC vape.

I ventured down the TC path via Ni200 ---> Titanium ---> NiFe30 ---> 316L stainless steel and that path brought me into vaping on 316L in power mode.
Some journeys take you to unexpected places.

What mod are you using?

My fave is twisted NiFe48 at the moment.

Nichrome does work in temp Control but it isn't the best vape, the DNA200 is a hell of a tinkerers toy I have to say I've been playing with it for a couple of days.
What is NiFe? I've seen it mentioned a few times

It's an alloy of nickel (Ni) and iron (Fe). The number indicates the % iron content. NiFe wires are easier to work with than Ni or Ti, and allow much more accurate temperature measurement than Ni or SS.

Here's a quick comparison of relative TC accuracy (relative score out of 100):

Ti: 100
NiFe48: 89
NiFe30: 62
SS 316L: 39
Ni200: 35
Nichrome 80: 7
Kanthal: 0.2
