Preferred Tc metarial

Have some 27 gauge in my basket. That should be very workable for dual coils in the Aromamizer, shouldn't it? How does it compare to NiFe30 for ease of use and flavour?

Yeah, 27g in the aromamizer will be fine, you have the space - I've been using 28g and resistance normally comes out around 0.22, so you could easily go a bit thicker. In terms of ease of use and flavour, compared to NiFe30 I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference in a blind test, it's very similar.

Thanks. I went for 28 gauge in the end to hopefully get some relief from the constant struggle to get a decent resistance. Does their NiFe48 require any cleaning, given that I don't pulse TC wires, or is it Stealthvape clean? Looking forward to playing with it.

It's clean, maybe not stealthvape clean but it's good. I normally fire it at 300C before wicking to get rid of any residue (most of which is probably from my hands). I do this with stealthvape NiFe30 too, in both cases there is a tiny wisp of smoke. I don't wipe it before coiling or anything like that.

Been using SS316L for a while now and like the vape in TC just started playing with SS316L claptons and they seem pretty good so far, but keep reading here how good NiFe is. What is the difference in NiFe30 and 48, was ready to try some 30 from stealthvape until people started talking about 48, time for more research!!

NiFe30 is great stuff. Having said I've been using ss316 exclusively for the past while, I went back to NiFe30 again last night and the vape is so much more consistent and controlled than with stainless. The main differences between NiFe30 and 48 are, correct me if I'm wrong @danb, 48 is more accurate in TC (for a given coil resistance), with its higher resistivity. It's also considerably more expensive mind you, and NiFe30's accuracy in TC is pretty damned good. I've ordered some 48 but mainly for the higher resistivity.

SS304 is brill. It has about 10% higher tcr than ss316 (slightly more accurate). It's cheap and available. The coil can be dry burned. It can run in non-tc power modes. It works on mechs too, due to a high base resistance (not that much lower than kanthal).

I love ss. With cotton wicks it is the only coil material I use.

I like ss316l and been really happy with it, its all ive used for the last couple of months ive been using the 26g from stealthvape but more recently moved to their 28/29g 316l dual parallels 10 wraps each 3mm id comes in at 0.3ohms using this in my supremes love it, like the versatility no issues with dry burning and performs well in power and tc mode on the cuboid.

My NiFe30 from stealthvape turned up today, first time I've used them and excellent service as everyone here says :) Time to play!! Any recommendations for a griffin build? I guess spaced coils are best with NiFe?

Yes definitely spaced coils. What gauge do you have? Should be able to get a good dual 9-10 wrap set up with 28 or 29 gauge using 3mm ID.

Have 26 and 28 gauge, went for 12 wraps at 2.5mm ID 26g came in at o.09 and its a lovely vape, still playing but at 470F at moment, definitely better flavour and smoother vape than the SS316L build I had in before. Maybe a better build but so far loving NiFe, is nice to work with to. Think I may be converted to NiFe now :2thumbsup:
