Have you tried FA's MTS Vape Wizard or TPA's Smooth?
Vape Wizard ("You can make it magic !! MTS stands for Mellow, Thick and Smooth")
Smooth ("Used in conjunction with other flavors to smooth out harsh edges and provide a thick satisfying mouthfeel. Boosts background notes and softens the high notes.")
I have found both of the above to help in recipes.
Also, there is so much difference in the various vanilla's etc. I have recently discovered Madagascan Vanilla, Shisha Vanilla and vanillin. So much choice and fun experimenting to find what works :-)
