I read this thread this morning,& went and drowned my Dreadnauts pins in vinegar,result was a dozen shades brighter pins & now just to wait for my 26650's charging up to test the result. Thanks Raguri

That would require me going out and buying more whereas there is a large bottle of vinegar in the kitchen cupboard

Any acidic juice with a pinch of salt will sort out the copper oxide build up. You don't need to heat anything and it'll happen really quickly.

Rinse, dry, use.

To be honest I skip the salt most of the time unless something arrives with awful corrosion.
