Pub chain encourages ecigs

I have used my e-cig in the pub, where it's allowed, (tornado tank) and most people are curious if they haven't already seen it before. There are a few using it in there now. Better than having to stand outside in the cold, that's for sure.(although if i had to stand with the smokers it would not bother me too much). Also if I can convert the smokers to using them if they are not willing to give up nicotine, then surely that's a good thing too. As far as I see it vaping is not smoking and therefore should not be classed as the same. Maybe a separate area wouldn't be a bad thing but then wouldn't it be seen as something that needs to be segregated. If it was for the smell, then if someone farted would they be banned?

Awesome news, just gotta find one near me! Id support a pub that supported vaping even though im not really a drinker!

As I see it:

Enterprise Inns 6000 pubs sell Nicolites & therefore become Vaping-friendly.
It therefore becomes our "job" to educate them, by being seen with the better kit & encouraging them to move onto what I would refer to as "the e-cigs that actually work"

Most of us started by trying cig-a-like e-cigs & realising there was potential, but that they weren't quite sufficient.

Being able to vape in pubs is a very positive move ... if it's the case. I know our local (tenanted) Greene King Pub allows it, however, being an ol' cynic, it will feel rather like getting into bed with the enemy -

Double edged sword:

1 - Getting people to move on from the nicolites. Hence not supporting the company, just vaping in general

2 - Getting people to move on from Nicolites. They don't sell, pub chain stops stocking them & stop vaping in the pubs

Shame pubs are mostly open plan now, I remember the old tap room which was more suited to the smokers and the general bar open to either. Bring back the TAP ROOM for us Vapours

I used to love the tap room in the traditional pubs, but I suppose if you got someone like Rags in there chasing clouds it would be an accident waiting to happen

It's such a shame that it had to one law to rule them all. There are pubs where i live where more than half of the punters are standing outside for more than half of the night. Those kind of pubs which don't serve food & are there for drinks only should be given the choice. We could have smokers/vapers pubs & then non smokers/vapers pubs.
i don't even go any more & that is the sole reason. I'm not rebelling but when i smoked, i wanted a pint & a cig or 10. Now i would like a pint & a vape without having to leave the premises that i've paid to support.
D'ya know what, there's a stupid mp woman speaking for Plaid Cymru party at the moment & she's banging on about "A vote for ukip is a vote against Wales" ! Well Plaid Cymru are also FOR the EU ! I wonder, do the EU give a fucking shite about Welsh tradition ? I doubt it.

well in mine you had to go from the main bar down a narrow passageway to get in there they'd probably see the vapor and dial 999 they'd think the fucker was on fire
