Pulse 80w Squonk Help...

I use RDAs all the time so pretty much know when they are gonna run out but I use temp control so I cant burn my lungs out.

true tc is mod dependent mate 400f on one could be 500f on another if it's a cheaper board ,
so iv heard anyway ,there were videos on the tube with guys testing the said and true temp from a few mods i was looking at before mi starting on Dna mods

yeah I only use DNA mods apart from my armor trainee pretend mech mod

That's a crazy amount of juice. On a similar set up as yourself, even constantly hitting it, a bottle will last me a few hours...
I had the Pulse 80w and it leaked inside. Now I don't know how much juice you could get inside that mod but yours is going somewhere surely? Give it a shake! If it's juicy get a replacement!

Right guys, I wanted to leave it a few days, make some adjustments and get back to you.....

I can finally say - I now love my new set up!! I dont know what exactly contributed to fixing the harshness and juice consumption problem but here's what I did:

- I changed the coil from the stock NiChrome to 0.35 clapton coil (as I was worried the NiChrome was actually giving me a reaction)
- I of course re-wicked, and I put a bit more in this time making the cotton really snug in there
- I bought a replacement squonk bottle (the see-through silicone type)
- I may have been lining up the air holes facing the front of the coil (not on the 'half pipe') like a muppet, and now get much better draw - This is what I believe gave me the harsh pulls!

After all these changes, WOW! Loving it and so glad, as I was really getting quite dissapointed not being able to enjoy the experience. Also, for some reason - the liquid actually lasts! Why?! I still havent figured out what I was doing wrong, but right now I dont care any more.

The shit taste was due to the airflow been wrong. Juice consumption would go up because you were constantly squonking to avoid a dry hit/improve flavour. It's a poor design really as if you don't read the instructions you don't know the cap rotates 90 degrees to line up with the air holes. Also I find the original cap to be rubbish & use the 22mm opaque caps. That way you can see you have lined up correctly & for me they're much better flavour wise.

Yay! I'd keep an eye on it though. Some of those mods do leak on the inside. Personally I like the squonk bottle that comes with it. The solid top makes refills a breeze.
The way I see it is that the 'front' of the coil is the longer part. Airflow to that bit!

It makes sense about the airflow being wrong! Totally my fault I still dont get the 90 degree turn part, but I try to eye it up and get it right somehow, quite tricky to really see it though. Mine didnt come with the opaque caps - is it supposed to come with it? Or do I need to by separately and do you think its worth it? As I've said in a previous post, I'm more about the flavour than the clouds.

Thanks Kezza, I just didnt really get on with the original bottle, but that's probably due to the frustration of everything. I'll give it another go when I switch to a different flavour sometime soon. Should I change the cotton as well?

22mm caps are separate purchase unfortunately bit worth it in my opinion. When you put the cap on it's not lined up, there's cut outs on the deck that lugs locate into when you twist the cap.

@Dtpumbationz I've not tried the smaller caps myself as I find the original one perfectly alright and gives good flavour (to me anyway). If you are in the uk then I believe srvapes and redjuice have them if you are interested in getting one. (Others may also)

Sticking to the same theme of the question (pulse 80w squonk help)....I’ve now come across another one!

I’ve realised I’m running the pulse on version 5 and definitely want to update. I don’t know all the benefits to the latest updates post v5 but I do want to update to latest version.
Now I downloaded v7 (mac) and have opened the app to upgrade. But when I click ‘refresh’ to find my device...it comes up with an error ‘cannot find device’. I’ve tried this on usb 3.0 and 2.0 but no difference.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and how have you gone about it?
