Quick check before I buy

Hi there guys, I have a smok t-priv 220w mod, I am sick of their wicks burning out in a day or two, so I have decided to go RTA. I just need someone smarter than me to check these things will work together without blowing my face off

Also I need to be able to run it in TC so I need some premade coils because I dont trust myself to make them lol
So what sort of SS coils would work nicely with this build?

You shouldn't be able to blow your face off with a regulated mod, though you never know with Smok.

That tank has a big deck, so it will take any standard coil. The layout is a bit odd though, so it may not be ideal for a beginner. Perhaps someone who has one could advise on that.

For coils, it depends how much you want to spend. @Smut makes them to order and they last months, but FT has a good range if you want something cheaper to play around with.

If you check steam-engine.org and play around with the figures on there you’ll find something that’s right for you. I think I have 25AWG SS316L which is around 8 wraps of 4mm for 0.5 ohms. Fits nicely in my ammit and works well - the wire costs next to nothing so when it gunks I usually just bin it and make a freshy.

Haven’t experimented with any other wire aside the same gauge kanthal A1 tbh, aside from making some twisted wire as I’ve spent my cash on bottle shots the last 2 months lol.
