Rags monster mod need help wiring the damn thing.

Was thinking of machining a heatsink or maybe buying one. Maybe insulate it from chassis using single sided blank pcb board that can take some heat.

Didn't think about the sag so Ill keep that wiring.

Hard making a practical mod for a complete nutter.

Just say power in your best Jeremy Clarkson voice ;)
Only reason I mention fuses, is that I know I'll probably be going over their limit if im using a 1s pack... :P.

Best contacts to use on the removable battery ?? Can remember somebody had RC knowledge here just can't remember who.

As a personal preference I'd rather xt90 as they give a very secure connection. Tamiya whilst secure, melt easily. And deans pull apart too easy. But, if anyone has any other ideas, I'll happily switch in my head xD

The benefits of having a brother into rc planes.

XT60's or 30's the xt90's are just too big to be practical. 60's should easy handle loads you want. They are nice and secure.

I picked up some nice TO220 heat sinks from rapid electronics and they work a treat. They do several sizes and are real cheap.

I have been shocked how effective a decent heat sink is, I know someone (tubby engineer?) had said this but they real do allow you to stretch the legs of the FET without melting boxes!

Deans easy to pull apart?

You used to be able to buy clips to help split them because they dont pull apart at all.

And whilst I agree about the fets vs lipo current, you'll likely find your eliquid is the weakest link.

This is how my fets are coupled/sunk.

Granted 360amp capabilities is overkill but I liked the potential redundancy in using two fets to do the job :)

Talked to a friend today who is into RC and he said xt60 too.
