How To re-wick and re-coil a Vision

Lol, guess the water must have been close to boiling :D

i could hold my fingers in it, but that's not saying much. The last time I had stitches in my hand from an argument with a cafetiere they had to use a different needle for every stitch as they kept bending :) the side effects of working outside.

ive just taken a coil off of my Phoenix SS and it is so much better now. 3 coils of 0.18 on 3x1mm wicks seems to do the trick. Not sure on the ohms but when dry they glow nicely without looking too hot so I'm happy with that

I have used it with no problems. I have used thicker too. You can get the thinner stuff but you'll have to double it up to prevent flooding issues.
Cheers,

Finally got this to work but it cuts out my passthrough lol might need a couple more coils, l put 4 on, don't think it was enough :)

Hi Gav45, did you test your coil on a metre? Perhaps your wire is a bit short, like you say adding another couple of winds should help :)

Re: How to re-wick and re-coil a Vision

Just done my second atty, had to use 2 strands twisted. Came out at 1.8. Changed it over with juice in it, not a good idea! Turned upside down with cling film over the tip unscrewed old one, screwed new one in, thought where's my juice? It was in the mouthpiece and all down the air tube and over my hand. Managed to salvage some. I will know next time :)

I thought I'd post something that made me dead jealous. A friend has never seen a video, used a forum, read a how-to but had an old clearo and I had wick and wire. On Sunday he came round, dismantled the clearo, bent a couple of my allen keys trying to pull the positive and insulator out. I told him he had to get that bit off. I then handed him some wick and 0.2 nichrome wire. He could have used kanthal but nichrome is easier to handle. Ignoring me complete, wound a coil, didn't work so I gave him a sewing needle. He then wound a perfect 1.8 ohm coil, put everything together, cut the wick to size when realising the bottom wouldn't fit, put it together, filled with jiuice and sat next to me surrounded by more vaper than I've ever seen from a clearo before. Not fair!
