Just got into rebuilding. I have an i go w4. drilled larger air holes in the cap, but when I inhale it feels like im breathing in straight juice. do I need to open the air holes up more? Like I said I'm a straight noob and just getting into rda's. Thanks folks.

Are you putting too much liquid in there by any chance ? What is it that you have done build wise ?

I have drilled my igo w4 as well to 2mm post some pics and will see if i can be of help. I use cotton with mine heres my current build at 1.4

I did a 6 wrap and used cotton. I only put a few drops of juice in. Tried multiple brands. The only thing I can think of is not enough air flow. Using 28 gage kanthal. I tried the eko wool and still had the feeling of inhaling straight juice.

some ekowool needs boiling if it has cotton through it you should get full flavour but not juice in your mouth it may crack and pop but thats how it should be something is amiss somewhere. what cotton did you use I personally only use organic cotton from holland and barratt here. I used .32 kanthal 8 wraps i believe around a 1.5mm drill bit. watch this vid as it may help

2mm holes are plenty for me but it depends on how airy you like it the bigger the hole the airier the draw

Did you wrap your coils first or did you wrap your coils around the cotton ? Are you talking micro coils here or just standard spaced out wraps ?

Have you watched any youtube videos on coil building ?

Sorry about all the questions but i'm trying to get a picture of what you're doing because your description is a bit unusual.

Tasting like neat juice? Two things that I know of could cause this 1. wick not pushed down towards the deck but sticking up and almost shoving up the drip tip so that, instead of vaping, you are sucking a soggy e-liquid milk shake up through cotton/silica filter. 2. The blooming thing is not even firing.
Beyond that, I have no idea.
Good luck.

I wrap on a drill bit first then heat the entire coil with a torch whilst it's clamped in needlenose pliers to make it a tight wrap. i do this with both coils so they are they same. I then seat the coil whilst still on the drill bit leaving the middle screw not fully tightened as i pass a second coil on the other side with the same drill bit, fully tighten then test on the ohm meter. I then feed the cotton through. If you were nearby I would have wrapped it for you.

Oh and not too much cotton as that will prevent wicking as cotton expands when its juiced up

Haha, yes. As good a guess as any right now. C'mon Shell , where are yer ? Are you winning yet ?

your coils are,nt tight enough round the wick bud. or visa versa your wicks not tight enough inside the coil, which ever way you want to look @ it
