Hi all.
Not been on the site for ages, still Vapin' and have suffered terribly with 'Shinyits' and 'Collectemall'!
I now have enough devices to open an exhibition.
My post is really a question to those of you with the technical knowledge. I have several clearomisers with polycarbonate tanks that rarely get used as my preferred vape tends to destroy them. As I work in engineering, I have a contact who can make a replacement in stainless steel, which obviously will not crack or disintegrate. Is there any downside to this idea. It means I could use my Nova's and an Innokin i30.
It seems a perfect solution.
Would be grateful for any input.

It is a great idea :D

As long as the SS is 304, food grade and above, I say go for it ;)

Will check that, thanks. But essentially a clearomiser tank is a bit of tube with a screw thread at either end, really don't know why ebay is not awash with replacements for disintegrated polycarbonate tanks. Anyone with a lathe should be able to knock them out and make a bloody good profit!

@6027david I know that you can get the all steel/aluminium tanks for the vivi novas from some vendors but as you can't see the liquid level a lot of people don't like them, but it is all my OH can use for work :)

A cheap rsst tank would fly off the... virtual shelves!!! Hint hint. Haha

I have half a dozen or so of Kanger Protanks, was just wondering what to do with the various corpse parts of a few Nova tanks. I hate throwing anything away, hence the idea, I have not seen spare tanks on sale anywhere for anything other than the Protank.

@6027david I am the same, I hate throwing anything out :) OH can't use glass tanks, they won't survive his work ;)

Last few metal tanks I got for Novas, I got from Cloud9 vaping and they are now on sale!!

I have got a wood lathe but can't use that kind of tank... lol
Hahah! I be your Gran had a wardrobe of clothes that were just for best and never got to see the light of day! Even so many years on, we still live to rationing ethos! Unless we are living on social security of course, in which case we can have brand new socks every day and regular holidays in the Maldives!
