I used to smoke Golden Virginia tobacco but using liquorice papers (& extra slim filters, not menthol though, I had to draw the line somewhere).

Does anyone have any ideas how to try & replicate the liquorice Rizla taste??? It's a strange taste, the smell of it used to remind me a little of steam engines & it used to take the edge off the tobacco, but in a very subtle way.

I have ordered some liquorice e-juice, but not sure it will work. I might try putting a little in with my tobacco juice, see what happens.

Mixing a small amount of liquorice flavour with a decent tobacco works for me - triphanmers Puros Santa Clara works for me

Go easy on the liquorice. Its really powerful. I'd suggest if you only want a hint, mix no more than 0.5%

I used to use liquorice rizlas, couldn't stand the taste of a rollie with normal rizlas. I quite miss the days of going to take one out the packet only to find the very slightest of dampness had made the bloody things all stick together!

Cheers for the advice. I think, for now, I will stick to mixing "ready mixed" e-juices, rather than adding flavourings. I've got this 24mg/ml Virginia Tobacco juice (Dekang) which I'm not all that keen on, so may mix some of that with some liquorice flavoured e-juice.

Come to think of it, I don't think I actually ordered the liquorice e-juice, I think I just added it to my basket (I've ordered & bought enough stuff for now, need to watch my spending, (you'll soon know one thing about me; I am always watching the pennies, as I don't have many of them at the moment).

I do plan to start mixing my own juices soon though, mainly in an attempt to keep overall costs down. I'm a bit of a creature of habit, so will probably soon find my flavour & stick to it.

They were funny things, liquorice rizlas. Never tasted much like liquorice to me but definitely added a slight sweetness that took the edge off the rollie :)

swan papers fan myself seemed to be less prone to sticking, anyway alchemists cupboard do a liquorice tobacco ,its very good needs a week to two of steeping.

Cheers, I'll give that a try.

They were funny old things, but I usually found once someone switched over to them, they rarely went back, despite their issues with sticking & occasional erratic burning.

Starting to sound like an advert for Vapemunki but you may want to try Black Betty its subtler than a lot of liquorice flavours I have tried.
