Screw Royal Mail

think one of the otehr vendors said its cheaper to send 3 x 10ml than a 30ml bottle. because the 10ml bottles will fit in envelope slot and the cost of the bottles is far less than the postage.. might be a pain but think it works out around a quid if the bottles are in 10ml sizes and costs pennies for the bottles

Yeah I send all bottles as 10ml at the moment in a bid to try and sell more 30ml but lower postage costs for buyers BUT it seriously reduces my profit as it is a lot cheaper to but 30ml wholesale than 3x10ml.

On the postal front, no other provider comes close on things that can go large letter sized with RM. If there were I think RM would lose most of it's business. Small parcels size has been increased through RM but that picks up for everything 26mm high and above and is still too expensive, again no-one else can match this until you get to heavier items and even then I am not entirely sure i trust MyHermes as every time I had parcels from them they have been haphazardly delivered or late

i guess if you making your own liquids and decanting it in 10ml bottles it works out much cheaper to do 3x 10ml than 1 x 30ml. if i recall the vendor said postage for 3 x 10 they could keep under the £2 mark for a 30ml bottle it went to the £3 mark. and cost of 10ml bottles was literally a few pence so worked out alot cheaper even with all the labelling and stuff. Problem i guess is its sucha competitive market out there too , i know i much prefer to buy 30-50ml bottles when i find a flavour i like as i just find them more convenient. sahme ya cant freeze eliquid and then send it vaccum packed!

then again.. capri sun style packs.. if you can get e liquid in those and include the straw .. sorted ! 100ml and it'll be flat enough to go in the letter slot!

10ml bottles are annoying when you find the juice you like and want higher quantities, no-one wants 10 x 10ml bottles over a single 100ml but it comes down to how much extra postage adds. I can send 10 x 10ml bottles 1st class recorded and charge £2.65 for it, 1 x 30ml bottle would be upwards of £4.50 recorded so it makes a big difference.

If all pre-made manufacturers (particularly expensive ones like T-Juice) moved to flat 30ml bottles it would be a hell of a lot better all round but quite honestly you would get 50% move to slim bottles, 50% on standard and then trying to work out shipping options for each variant on your site becomes mind boggling. On my site (as with most) the options for shipping are weight based, price in proportion adds a metric that is hard to implement other than fudge the weights of larger items to force higher weight range and subsequent pricing - that inevitably leads to more problems down the line when things change. Imagine having to edit each product and variant of an ecommerce site to suit a shipping structure - on PlumeBlu alone there are over 400 options and that is a tiny site compared to most.
