View attachment 3355I wasn't sure where to post this as its kind of a review (my opinions/mine alone) but kind of not because I've only received these today but..
I was lucky enough to get hold of a leather sleeve for the Provari in its tiniest incarnation courtesy of @Markfletcher007. It received a number of admiring comments down t pub and I must say it added a whole new dimension to the feel of the unit in the hand. Warm for one thing. Also offering some protection from knocks and scrapes.
It piqued my interest and I went googling finding these guys in the US

To cut a long story short I decided to order a bespoke (well sort of) sleeve for my satin silver mini and my girlfriends purple mini (shh she doesn't know yet). Made from genuine (you have to say genu-whine for authenticity) leather you can choose from a variety of dyes, colour of stitching and stamp marks. Purple for the missus with a butterfly. Green for me with a paw stamp. Yeah I know, why a paw. Well it was the closest thing they had to anything ape like .. Probably a dog paw print but hey ho
Costly and extravagant? Probably. I don't give a monkey . Mine will help protect my investment. The other will make a unique gift
With the extras it came to a shade over £50 delivered (plus £13 customs duty grr) for the pair.
Comparing to the one I already had I would say they feel more robust. The leather is chunky. It's a nice slide fit. The one I had was a very tight fit and was a bit of an arse taking it on and off.
The mod slides in from the top and sits on a little built in leather ledge so the metal base doesn't actually touch what ever you are standing it on. The thickness of the leather means it sits sturdily. I didn't understand the sleeve thing at first and emailed the company because holding them alongside the mod, the fire button and screen didn't line up with the cutouts. I requested my original order so I could check I hadn't ordered for the standard Provari by mistake. I had a very friendly response very quickly and my epic fail in the common sense department revealed itself doh! Tim Brown was the guy I emailed with and I couldn't fault him for courtesy and humour.
So there we are. New winter coats. I just need a nice green mizer to go on top View attachment 3356
