I do love that tank.

It's a clever little thing isn't it? Was rewicking it today and thinking this is literally dumping cotton down a hole in the most cavalier way and it just works. Compared to some fiddly prima donnas that require atomic precision this is rather special.

Mines an SXK clone I bought cheap on a whim, which totally surprised me. I was terrified me when I first took it apart but it's actually much simpler to put together than it looks. If you trust it, it just works - it's beautifully designed. I bought another pronto.

It's a DDP One bud. Short tanks are perfect for the Ehpro

It is indeed. Mine has a small problem with the insert. The allen key screw doesn’t thread into the deck very well to hold it on. I’m going to drill out the countersink bit a little deeper, which should fix it.

I am also planning to try wicking it with mesh.

I know it sounds stupid but have you tried the spare one? Mine (sxk) was considerably longer and completely solved the problem. You never know. Keep us posted of how it goes with the mesh. Always been intrigued on this one and the Zephyr but never tried it myself!

Thanks for the tip. My spare was the same size but thought it was worth a go in case the screw thread was the problem, I just tried it, and it seemed promising but then the screw just started slipping again. For some reason they have countersunk the hole on the deck, and the screw doesn’t seem able to reach the threads. I’ll try drilling it out a bit like I had planned when I next have the dremel out.

I’ll maybe start a thread once the mesh arrives and I give it a go. I was also thinking about le zeph and le mirage as well. @eightbitraptor suggested it in the “show me your d...” thread.
