The ironic thing is that although our logical brains are telling us that's due to dryness it's the blooming opposite! So all those dabs of cream/moisturiser aint helping at all. Wot a cruel and vindictive world!

The taste bud thing was big in my household. I had to devise new meals for the changed pallette.

Weight gain - I am not kidding. A lot of weight gain, which thankfully melted off over a number of months.

:D

I seem to get a headache from liquid with a VG mix, anyone else? Gutting because some of my fave flavours have VG in them.

PG can give me sore throat, tight chest (mild) and dry mouth (especially in the mornings). Wouldn't happen all the time but enough to be annoying.
I switched to higher VG mixes which can give me zits. I've been wearing baseball caps since I was a kid. If I wear one while vaping indoors I get a lot of tiny spots on my forehead. The vapour must collect under the peak. You can see a line where exposed skin has spots, skin that was covered by my hat is ok. They go away easy but are easy to avoid.

Odd but none of this really worries me.

A couple of weeks of almost intoxication as I realised I had really kicked the rollies, leading the OH to call me 'dizzy'! Not something that normally applies.
Dry mouth and throat...drink more tea.
no cough, none whatever, wierd.
ability to walk up steep hills...very odd!
Excess of spare change...lack of larger bank balance due to shiny mod-itus...slowly settling down now with medication of SS Don and Caravella.
Strange attraction to Kanthal wire and mesh, goes alongside the desire for large amounts of vapour.

Odd but all true, life just gets wierder everyday. Thankfully. :))

For the first week or so when I started on the ecigs I was getting sore throats. I was on a 36mg tobacco eliquid. When I halved the nic content to 18mg, sore throat disappeared altogether. Saying that, these days I can vape on 36mg no problem, so maybe it was just the ol' throat getting used to something new.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned stomach ache or muscle cramps!

As a new convert to vaping, despite knowing the e-cig delivered nicotine in much the same way, I had to resist the urge to pick up a cigarette for at least the first two weeks. As a consequence my e-cig was glued to my hand and I puffed away incessantly. I soon found myself with a stomach ache. A little research revealed that stomach ache is an early sign of nicotine poisoning. I had been using 36mg nicotine and had increased my consumption dramatically so this was no surprise. I cut back on the vaping (first of all stopping altogether for 12 hours) and within a day all was well and I proceeded with a modicum of caution from then on.

Muscle cramps are a common side effect. I experienced quite severe cramps in my legs (severe being the kind that makes you fly out of bed at a zillion miles an hour shouting "0h dear" or other choicer expletives). A little more research turned up the following from http://www.tobaccoharmreduction.org/

In regards to health, whether you are vaping a VG or PG based device does not matter. However, there are some differences that could matter from a user comfort perspective. Some individuals who have shown sensitivity to PG (such as sore throat) have found that VG does not have the same effect. One reported side effect that VG can also allay is muscle cramps and aches from PG breaking down into lactic acid.. It should be kept in mind though that though these symptoms might be uncomfortable they should not be thought of as actual health risks.

Having started with a nasty cheap e-cig from amazon with nasty little cartridges (of similar or identical specification to those now being sold retail, mail order and in supermarkets in fancy packaging and at exorbitant prices, often with outlandish and unsubstantiated claims regarding the cigarette equivalency) which it is apparent in hindsight were filled with PG only, I am confident these cramps were due not only to using PG, but the overuse of it. Having swapped a few months in to Juicy Vapor "reduced PG" I have not experienced any problems in the last 12 months of vaping. And believe you me, I vape a lot, especially since becoming a vendor in December 2011. I tend to vape all strengths as I vape to test juices and hardware as well as for my own pleasure, but my preference and choice is now 18mg or less.

Newbie question can an 'off' diy flavour cause headaches, l've been vaping for 3 weeks now and had a headache for the last 4 days, a banana flavour tasted a bit funny but l thought l might have mixed it wrong

After reading all these posts a few make sense.

Sore itchy throat, though don't know if it's PG or VG (think it's PG)
Coughing, mostly at night when trying to sleep.
Burping a lot (sounds disgusting, and is embarrassing)
Dry mouth
Passing wind
Head aches, pressure on my head (don't know if it's due to vaping, because I tend to use the vape more than what I would when lighting a smoke, and thus taking in more nicotine, or if it's a side effect of not smoking cigarettes/ roll ups)
Weird tastes in my mouth, one day everything i eat or drink, tastes salty, the next like metal, or I don’t taste anything at all.

My nose playing tricks on me. EG my partners vape smells really nice, though when I taste it it’s disgusting lol.

Sore tongue, as if someone split it in half and dry lips (change of weather maybe)
