What's new

Side effects of vaping...

I switched with no ill effects..easily....in the past tried different things from patches...( crazy nightmares ) binned that.
tried the inhale things...3 days was smoking cigs more than that...binned
tried hypnotherapy and yes it worked for 3 months..i was soon bk to smoking...
sky cig...3 weeks started getting to point couldn't take a draw for fear of coughing fits.
4 months back bought an ecig started pack...soon upgraded to my Vamo V5 and now upgraded tank system to the Aspire Nautilus...and I have no intentions of going bk to disgusting smell of cigs.

I have to go ahead and add mine, which seems common for the most part.

Dry mouth is worse than usual
Third day of heavy vaping and my throat is sore with white patches on tonsils AND uvula. I'm going to give it a day or two of rinsing my mouth with saline and if it doesn't go away, I'm going to see the Doctor. It's quite uncomfortable to swallow food. Feels like tonsillitis, but I have no other symptoms, no fever etc.... We'll see!

Ah, just realized, all the dictionaries are going to have to add, "vaping" to their definitions. HA!

Follow up on my previous comment. Told Dear Doctor about my new vaping habit and he said he's seen a bit of this happening. My symptoms that is. He said it looks like thrush, and rinsing with a 1/2 tsp of baking soda in 1 cup of warm water should take care of it.

That's exactly what happened. Gone, totally gone now. A new Vap shop opened up a few blocks from my house and they had a staggering amount of custom blends and your own little nipple to sample every single flavor. SOOO after spending half an hour going down the smorgasbord of flavors I noticed my throat getting sore the next day. A couple of gargling episodes with baking soda and warm water and it's gone too... and I've got a new vap shop to fill all my vaping needs in.

Have just spent hours going through this thread (backwards - go figure!) in the hopes of finding somebody with similar symptoms to myself. This is it! Will give this remedy a try and hope it helps as the medication I've been prescribed (for oral thrush fungal infection) doesn't seem to be working :( Not sure if it's vape related or just coincidence that it's happening since I switched from roll ups to vaping but I'm fed up of it now. I love vaping and will be gutted if that's what is causing it :(

I don't know if it's been mentioned above (I haven't read all 42 pages), but I think vaping is screwing up my sleep.

I've also had the white spots mentioned above.

I get a film on my toungue but just make sure you're brushing your tounge along with your teeth.

Well after gargling for 24 hours with bicarb of soda solution (not constantly - that would just be weird), I am amazed to report it does seem to be helping!

Not out of the woods yet but hopefully I won't have to stop vaping!! :umm:

Could be the PG? Have you tried 100% vg? Hypoallergenic and IMHO a nice thick vape.

I assumed it was normal when vaping? And as for 100% VG.. nah, I'll pass, the throat hit of PG is a pretty high priority to me when vaping.

I think it's the nicotine that gives you throat hit. I've been experimenting in diy with pure VG, PG and different nic amounts. And it's the nic that gives me that "peppery" sensation. Some complain that high VG can make you gag, but I like the heavy vapor flowing myself. And it's sweet too. Pure PG is dry and tasteless and gives me mouth ulcers.
The thing about pure VG though is that it's quite syrupy and thick, so it's probably not good for evods, protanks etc with their tiny wicks.

I would smoke cigs for a week and my lungs would feel like a bag of smashed ass holes.

Been smoking ecigs for over a year and the only thing I notice is dry mouth. Mainly because I am always smoking it ;)
