What's new

Sigh - and again ... eu threatens to block vaccine to the uk and others who got their finger out

Sneaky tactic.... so now anything anyone says anything in rebuttable to the claims in the article, is already seen as a flag waver?
That was my immediate thought - its also no surprise though .. fairly common way of undermining someones opinion. its still a cheap shot though

the second was the article was written by a dutch proffesor of EU law ...

so i'm not going overly believe its overly impartial

I don't disagree with much of it, he just fails to mention a lot of the points that would make the EU look far less innocent and capable. ... it's nicely spun though, I'll give him that.
Also .. its ironic to note that @zouzounaki as is massively evident from a lot of his other posts actually IS a huge flag waver ... its just his flag is blue and has gold stars on it.

I would like to add to this though I DO understand why he is - difficult not to be for someone in his position I think .. I therefore respect his opinion.

But his methodology of putting it across often tugs my nads in an unpleasant way.

This is why more folks wanted out than in here in UK. Getting told what to do by a bunch of unelected dogooders or crooks depending on which you feel is not democratic, it's a dictatorship. The EU are a shambles , they feel they are bigger than anyone so can bully folks into doing what they want, when it doesn't work they still throw their toys out of the pram because they can't get their own way. This vaccine dabacle is typical of the EU. I just hope in time we change a lot of the rules that have limited us and where put in by the EU,

While England did, Scotland did not! ;)

gentlemen, it was a light hearted joke. i don’t think either of you are any more flag wavers than i am.

While Egland did, Scotland did not! ;)

38% of Scotland did though. ;)

... which isn't an insignificant amount to the total number of leave votes.

The top five remain voting areas weren't even in Scotland. 4 were in England and 1 was in NI.

here in scotland we don’t think like that. there is scotland, and then there is england. (and wales and northern ireland). simple. :)
