Silica Wick & Kanthal Wire guide/starter kit suggestions..??

Can anybody point me in the right direction if there is a thread here on this subject already..??

Or give me some idea's of what I should be buying size wise as a starter kit..??

I have a Kanger Protank3, several CE4's and 3x Kanger EVOD's..

(All 3 of the brand new EVODS leak like mad & flood, think they need thicker wick.. should I take them back and moan at my local bricks n mortar..???)

Yep u should moan if they leak - are you sure they're genuine kanger

If you want wick and wire stealthvape is the place to go he does a kanthal sampler pack with 5m each of 3 different sizes for 4 quid and some 2mm silica wick should be fine for u

Cheers for that I will give stealthvape a try thats a damn sight cheaper than ebay..


Not sure if they are genuine, they were in the same display cabinet as all the shiny Kangertech stuff, they were a fiver each, not looked online to find the RRP, but they did not come boxed like the Protank 3 I had off them which is spot on, but the EVOD's are a complete pile of crap, I have put in the spare coils I got off them at the same time (£1.50 each), which have a different chimney design (longer) and they are just as bad.. not just a bit bad.. I mean completely useless.. wasted so much juice, it just pisses out the bottom & floods so bad I get mouthfulls of juice.. I know its only 20 quid but its a 40 mile round trip to get there..

I will have a polite word tomorrow.. see if they can sort.. else I might have an impolite word lol..

Genuine kanger products are all marked with their name or logo. As for the leaking, there'e just no way they do that unless you pour the stuff down the mouth piece lol. Real kangertech evod batteries have the 'K' on the chrome base & they are very good batteries.

No markings on them at all.. so obviously fake and a marketing trick sticking them in the same case.. they look the same as the Kangertech BCC EVOD's/Clearomisers whatever you want to call them..

There are plenty of known cheap versions out there & when it comes to batteries you really want to get that part right. It's worth spending the extra on genuine quality for safety reasons as well as performance. The kanger batteries i have, 650mah will fire the evod clearomizer pretty consistently throughout their discharge & then automatically cut out when they fall below their regulated safe voltage.
