Ah damn my lack of potato knowledge!I went to try that, but the contact at the bottom is completely different - you can't fit the stock coils in the 510 connector thingy for the RBA.

I've not had chance to strip one of mine down yet. If I can I'll do it this evening.Nope, whatever I do it comes out the same, I think I just have a duff one. I'll see what FT say.
Don't know if this helps H.I went to try that, but the contact at the bottom is completely different - you can't fit the stock coils in the 510 connector thingy for the RBA.
It does help, as it goes, thank you.Don't know if this helps H.

Is the o ring around the base intact.

Worth checking there's nothing causing a short between the insulator on the coil post.
If you hold the deck in position you can unthread the flat pos pin out and try putting an o ring in before 're screwing back together to get a longer pos pin.It does help, as it goes, thank you.
Does anyone else think that maybe the pin on the bottom of the deck on mine doesn't (to use a technical term) poke out as much as it should? Pic here next to the 510 connector thingy it goes into. I did try taking the o-ring off the bottom to see if it would screw down further, but it doesn't.

Fuck me - so you can. It was stuck fast (which is why I'd not removed it) - a two pliers job, no way I'd have had the guts to force it like that without your advice, thank you.If you hold the deck in position you can unthread the flat pos pin out and try putting an o ring in before 're screwing back together to get a longer pos pin.
