Smok Alien, Hpriv, gpriv, wismec predator etc (fire bars)

Hello there people. I have the smok x cube ultra and I love the fire bar but it also annoys the crap out of me! The amount of times I have fired it by accident. I fired it today whilst trying to remove the barrel from my dripper and burnt my thumb, it fires sometimes in my cars cup holder, and there's been a couple of times I have forgot to lock it and it's fired in my pocket. Which is another thing, I find it to be a pain to lock and unlock!
So, rant over, I'm wondering if the alien, Hpriv, gpriv, predator etc are any better in regards to their fire bars. Mainly the alien and predator. I know it seems weird I'm looking at other mods with fire bars but I like the form factor of the alien and predator. Cheers in advance!

ive never had a issue with any of mine including all that you mentioned but mine stay on my desk and dont get moved around much.
maybe a change in direction and move away from the sidebar. kaos is same size and has round button at top end to see if that solves the misfires.

oh, and as you can see my original alien has started peeling. blue one was bought 3 weeks later and not a mark on it so it shows there was a dodgy batch of paint released.

If you lock the Alien it won't fire but the predator will still fire locked

The fire bar on my predator has stopped working completely. First it started auto firing for a few seconds after taking a hit and now it just doesn't work at all.

I just returned my Predator, started auto firing when trying to adjust the wattage and wouldn't stop till I removed the batteries. Waiting on the replacement but confidence is low on the quality of the mod now.

I absolutely love the firing bar on the Alien. It's the best thing about it and I haven't had it fire in the cup holder of the car or in my pocket despite never locking it.

I agree about the firing bar, never had a mod with one before and found it nice to be able to just grab the mod and just give it a squeeze.

I got mine from gearbest and was having zero joy with returning it to them. They asked me to upload a video of the problem before they could move forward with the issue but no matter what I tried the video wouldn't upload.

Found a YouTube video of how to fix the problem. It's basically caused by juice seeping through the gap in the fire bar and getting on the firing component.

Quite an easy fix really

I had to send a video of mine auto firing before I could return it. If juice seeping into the mod was my issue, then in the 4 weeks I owned it and with the limited tanks of juice I ran through it, I don't expect the replacement to fair much better.
