Me RSST arrived this morning – checked it thoroughly for any swarf and other debris, quick wash and wipe of the DT.
Almost as easy to set up as a post style Genesis – and built a ‘safe’ coil of 1.5ish Ohms
The RSST has a huge wick hole, which allows for a nice thick straw wick (500 mesh) and happened to be pretty much the length of my syringe needle. The fill hoe is also big enough to allow one of my old Liqua juice bottles ‘nipples’ – so really easy to fill.
The tank holds about 4ml, and the frosted finish looks good – I don’t use any of the juices on the ‘cracking’ lists so I’m not worried about that – and feels fairly thick. . As the tank is plastic and so the wick would not be connecting with any metal – I also tried only oxidising the top of the wick – apparently non-oxidised SS wicks better.
The supplied SS Ming DT is certainly substantial and as one reviewer pointed out, adds some**- much needed weight to the RSST – it makes it feel more substantial overall. Actually quite liking using it TBH.
I do have a preference for a long, slower draw, so I quite like the smallish airhole. I might make it an ickle larger – but not see the need at the mo.
Because I can adjust the centre post with a coil in place, I can actually get the RSST to rest flush on a mod – and with it’s matt finish - looks Awesome on the Dingo in either normal 18350 or 18650 mode!
So 1st Impressions - Very Good
Photo taken before adjusting the centre post - now absolutely flush - but very blurry photo
