Afternoon boys and girls. Recently moved from a nautilus into the world of rebuildable's. Currently been playing with a kf4.
Just picked up a octopus dripper and a rsst.

I'm looking for advice on a quality dripper and a genesis device.

The octopus works well but it's a little small and would like better airflow options and room to dual coil if I want to.
Thinking TOBH

Love the flavour of the rsst on ss mesh but it feels flimsy and cheap. I want a solid device I can use all the time with good airflow options. Poss kraken?
(Rsst pros. Insulated wick hole. Easy to coil. Nom conductive tank so wick can coil around bottom. Cons. No adjustable airflow. Top cover doesn't feel secure. Unit has a habit of undoing itself while traveling. )

Currently running provari v3 and a vamo 5. Il probably pull the trigger on a new provari in the new year coz it's bomb proof and my 4 week old vamo is showing signs of falling apart already.

I like a cool vape both stiff and airy depending on mood and juice.
I've got zero interest in moving to sub ohm vaping usually my coils run between 1.5 up to 2 ohms depending on mood juice and device.

Cheers
Rob.

I like my tobh V2 clones. Have three.
Never tried genesis tanks but the kraken seems the most popular and easiest to find.

I sure am. Are you using the plastic RSST? I'm not a fan of them, pyrex is much nicer. I build it using this guide UKVap.es. I created the alternative guide linked on the site.

I drill mine out to 3mm as well.
Yup I acquired the plastic. Late night purchase and didn't research lol. Just heard rsst was a good atty. Il look at the Pyrex as I do like it.
It's the chimney that does my head in. It lifts and pushes off easily and found it a pita at work. (Carpenter so my toys get abuse )

Had a look through the two builds you posted. Very tidy. What's the heat up time like. Using 400 mesh with 6 wraps of 0.25 niccr 1.5ohm and a very quick heat up and no wicking issues. That's about as low as il go with my current mods. It kicks out more vapour than everything else I own and gives great flavour. So I have a bit of a love hate thing going on with it :)
Drilled the air hole out to 1.5mm as it felt like sucking a golf ball up a hosepipe initially lol.

I need a genisis device that's better in my pocket but similar in style to the rsst. Airflow options would be nice.

By chimney do you mean top cap? The plastic ones I have do that as well, really annoying.

Heat up time is instant, and the vape gets very hot. I drill it to 3mm and the ohms are around 0.4 normally, wicks fine with 80vg juice.

Yup the top cap that covers the coil/wick.
Did come across this iteration looks like it has a deeper rebate and 2 orings for the top cap.
