Hey Guys

So I've been using some simple SS coils recently (always used kanthol) I buy em pre made from local shop. I have had these a week and have just given them another clean. Slight dry burn, water method and I've noticed they have a slight brown colour to them, almost like rust. Is this normal?

Don't quote me on this but as far as I'm aware you shouldn't glow SS. Someone with more experience will chime in soon I'm sure but in the meantime just don't use them until someone gives the all clear just to be on the safe side.

More likely it's just crud that didn't burn off properly, SS shouldn't be affected by dry burning...

I make my own temp control coils with 316L from Crazy Wire Co. I find that they do go a bit rusty after a few days. You can clean it and rewick, but the flavour is never as good as new coil and they go bad again very quickly.

Better just to get yourself a spool of 316L and a Coil Master coiling jig, so you can just replace your coil cheap and easy each time.
