Steamcrave ragnar rdta muted flavour

Hii, thank you for all your kind help, this as iv'e already stated, is my first attempt, at what, is generally considered, a very big/and good,( if you read the reviews, ) rda, some say not a true rdta, I must be, ill, informed, I'm told it is not a true, rdta, what is the actual reason for this, please?. I'm using, swag cotton, standard deck, multi strand Claptons, Ni80 0.32ohms, and about, 4 mill, from the deck, at around, 48 watts, is all of that, so out of whack,?, if so, please, be gentle, I am, still finding my way, and got it all horribly wrong, regards, Vandervape.

I'd say the Wattage is your problem. 48 Watts is plenty for a single coiler, but nowhere near enough for a 35mm tank with dual coils - I'd suggest 80 Watts is closer to the mark. Try 60 to start with, with reduced airflow, and increase the wattage by 5 watt increments (opening up the airflow if necessary) until you find a happy medium. Big dual coil tanks and low power aren't a good combination. Don't be overly cautious about increasing the wattage as the tank can cope with it easily. If you want to vape at medium power settings the optional single coil deck is more suitable - the dual needs more than you are giving it.

I can't help with the build and any problems you may be having with it - I just don't vape that way so I have no valid experience to draw upon.

However, having looked at the design I can say that it's definitely not an rdta. It's an rta.

That's not me saying it's bad by any means, it's simply that by design and description it's misnamed. It's by no means the first time steamcrave have this...

At some point (when I'm procrastinating about doing something like work) I'd be happy to do a more detailed explanation including pictures if anyone is actually interested.

Honestly though, the label isn't important, functionality is what counts.

Hi, would you say, the cotton gods, is far superior, to swag? Or is it, purely personal conjecture, regards, Vandervape.

Swag is not 100% cotton, it might say it is but it's not. It contains Rayon, I actually used it to good effect, in a mesh build. I don't rate cotton gods, best processed cotton for me is Dat White Stuff, I generally use Labo or Muji pads, 95% of the time.

I have about 5 or 6 Different Mesh Brands and quite like the Vapefly Mesh, also like the Wotofo Mesh as well, Cotton has to be Vapefly Firebolt M which has impressed me. I bought quite a bit of the Wotofo Cotton which is good for the larger Mesh Decks.
Because, I must be, still, learning, and, a very, juvenile thought, I honestly thought, mesh, strips, were, pritty much the same, are, firebolt, way more expensive, then, I can look it up, but, I'll, take your word for it, , regards Vandervape

Thank you, for taking, the time, to get back, to me, that, is a very, informed, and consice answer, yes, and it makes good sense. So, I suppose, in my, err, slight, ignorance, I thought, it was an rdta, I guess, I have been, somewhat , mislead, by the reviews, and steamcrave , a valuable lesson learnt for me I feel, cheers, regards Vandervape.

It's not necessarily misleading, unless you specifically wanted an rdta for a particular reason. If you have a particular reason then you'd instantly identify that it's not what you want.

If however you only want an rdta because they seem popular at the time, then it's probably not going to make any difference.

A good rta is still good, even if you call it a doorknob.

I know why SC called it an rdta, it's just that it's technically incorrect, whatever.

The reviewers aren't intentionally misleading anyone either, they're just reading the name...

The Ragnar is an rdta, it's an rdta because it wicks from underneath, drawing up the liquid, but the juice is stored like a traditional rta - above the coil.

Thanks, again, hard times, for all, I think, for me, personally, rdta's must be cheeper to run, in the long run,(its a vapeing on a budget thing, personally) as Freemax mesh pro coils, are, around, £12, and had a vandy vape before this, as an experiment, not a great success t b h , I'll, persevere, with the mesh deck on this, thanks, regards Vandervape.
