Steeping

Ok not sure if anyone has seen the recent riptrippers video ( I am aware not many people actually like him) but the general point was when steeping juice do not remove the lid and cap. He also said the cap should only be removed for a maximum of 30 mins. Or this will reduce flavor dramatically.

As I have yet to get any new juice I have been unable to check the difference but was curious if this is new info or something people have done before. As before this I have always used the cap, off dark place for 7 days rule.

I kinda like rip tripper take him as he comes.. This seems to be the current trend in steeping....only remove cap to exchange air in bottle, more to prevent contamination it seems.

I don't mind him in small doses. Some of his coil ideas are fantastic just a bit annoying.

If it's just contamination it's no different for me all mine are steeped in a sealed dark box

i steep my juice for between 7 and 14 days and only remove the caps about every 2 to 3 days and squeeze the bottle gently to expell the air in the bottle and then let some fresh air back in

If know a juice that's not had long shelf life I tend to remove top and space in dark cupboard with a good shake every about 6 hours for 2 days and then boxed in fridge.

Thanks for the advice. I will try removing the cap every few days and squeezing to see if that makes a difference on flavor. I'm guessing it won't but worth a go at least.
