Somone called smokers angel? says that in brussels today the ban wont happen because the EU brussels comittee say it wuld be an illegal ban cus of discrimination

Smokers Angel is also ecigarettedirect.co.uk and authors the Ashtray blog and is referring to legal opinion expressed by Sir Francis Jacob QC. The proponents of the TPD insofar as it relates to ecigs are well aware of this opinion and that of their own EU Legal Committee (which disapproves of it).I fear if it was that simple, that it will be annulled as being contrary to the principles of discrimination, we wouldn't be where we are with the proposal in tact. They have something up their sleeve and whilst the legal opinion is comforting I'm not certain it's a reason to not worry

Not a problem. You're right when you said elsewhere we shouldn't panic just yet. Lost a battle. The war goes on and in any event we are talking years before any of this is implemented , if indeed it is. Meantime we can gather strength in numbers
