Hi all, looking to give up the smokes with the help of vaping. Done some research into what I need but feel completely lost haha. From what I have read I guess I'm looking at a mtl setup (fairly heavy smoker just under a pack a day). Some of the mods I have seen recommend would be jacvapour vim, s22, vaporesso armour pro, eleaf pico. Would any of these be ok or could you recommend anything else? Also any info on tanks, coils and batteries to go with them would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hay @Gram89 welcome to the forum [emoji4] jac vapour do the S22 kit which is everything you need bar juice and spare coils and its a cracking bit of kit for the money

How tech savvy are you? Are you wanting something very basic or do you reckon you can do a little maintenance?

Do you want something small or bigger?

Forgive my questions, it will be easier to suggest a few products that will be right for you. I don't want to suggest something that isn't suitable.

I'm fairly tech savvy so maintenance wouldn't be a problem after learning a bit about it. As for size I work outdoors so it will need to fit in pocket

An Eleaf Ikuu 80w or something paired with a Nautilus mini on 1.6 or 1.8 ohm coil would be my recomendation - Cheap until you decide if its really for you and then even when it is you will still use the mini for a while before moving on.

Jacvapour vim and s22 are both great kits. Vaporesso and Pico are excellent mods but you will need to purchase the batteries and charger separately, also you will need a tank. Another kit worth looking at is innokin coolfire mini with zenith tank. If you decide to buy things separately consider Zlide tank which is a younger brother of the mentioned Zenith.

Hi @Gram89 and welcome to the planet.

from the kits you mentioned a good starter kit is either the S22 or the newer VIM
i use the vim every day for travel to and from work and then the armour pro for clouds at breaks.
the s22 and vim have a fixed internal battery so as said fill and vape.
the armour pro also needs a battery either 18650 or 21700
i use 21700 at 60watts and it uses roughly half power during 2 breaks but this is more of an advanced kit for direct to lung cloud chucking. yes it can quite easily use a seperate mouth to lung tank at much lower wattage (average mtl 10-14watts) but then a bit overkill as the armour is a 100w mod.

I'll pop in a recommendation for the JAC VIM. It's not an expensive kit, you get the device and tank for about £25 so no real loss if you decide vaping's not for you.

It's also good as there are several different coils you can get. The 1.0 ohm ones are good and last ages but if you decide you want more oomph later on they also do what they call turbo coils at 0.7ohm and 0.4ohm which are decent as well.

My choice to quit the ciggies and a great way to start vaping while still getting that smoking nic hit sensation would be a pod with Nic Salts:
(Nic Salts are a vape juice that delivers nicotine faster)

If these were around when I tried to quit they would have certainly helped me.

Aspire Breeze 2 Kit - all good to go once you add nic salt.

You might want to try a tobacco flavour to start with then some other flavours, Peach is lush.

+1 for Jac Vapour.

I recommend the VIM a lot but for someone who hasn't quit smoking yet and doesn't have any other vape gear I would suggest the S22. As your first and only piece of kit I think some adjustability is very important.
