Stupid question

So I'm looking at drippers and just thought

If I took the two chimney sections out of the kayfun, used the mini configuration to make the tank smaller, why can't it be used as a dripper?

How is that different to a dripper?

as far as I know it can. I've not tried but I'm sure I've heard of some using them as drippers in that way
