So I have been using subtank mini exclusively for the last 2 weeks and was amazed by the flavour of the rba section. I thought I had it sussed.

Latley it seems the flavours taste almost watered down. Am I wicking to much or not enough? Its the same juice I use normally so I know its not the juice.

Single coil 1.2 ohm same as usual wicked with jap cotton

Any ideas?

What do you mean by watered down? Just weaker than usual?

Unless it tastes off/burned, I wouldn't worry. Try ramping the wattage up a bit, or swap out juices for a while. It could be 'vapers tongue'.

For example a mango and pineapple juice almost taste like watery squash when normally its really strong. Tobaccos taste quite weak I guess it could be vapers tounge hiesenburg taste fine but not quite as strong as usual. Iv had it up to 30watts and still not much different. Seems to be crackling and spitting more than usual even at low watts wasn't sure if I just put a bit to much wick in? Would that effect the flavour at all?

I'm not the one to ask about cotton tanks. Maybe try a dripper, if not it could be vapers tongue.

Yeah I tried my dripper tastes spot on with that. I think I'll try a new wick when I get 5 mins thanks for your help.

If it's crackling and spitting juice that is usually a sign that you haven't put enough wick in, and yes that can affect the flavour.

If you put too much wick in you would get dry hits aplenty, it would be the complete opposite.

I just cut a bit of the wick off so its just touching the base. Working a charm now no spitting and plenty of flavour weird how just that little bit to much makes a difference. If the wick was to short wouldn't that just cause dry hits? I would imagine to much would cause flooding gurgling etc?

The subtank mini RBA base can be a bit pernickety when it comes to wicking. There is a bit of a fine line that you need to straddle when wicking it, but when you have it spot on it works like a dream. If the wick was far too short, then theoretically yes, you can get dry hits as the wick has no way of absorbing the juice. However your deck would likely flood before this happened. Too much wick chokes off the juice supply and causes dry hits- the deck would not have a chance to flood.
