What are we to make, as we rapidly approach December, of bricks and mortar stores like Go 4 Smoke, suddenly knocking 30% off their entire range? As humble vapers, does this mean that these companies have been ripping off its consumers for years or does the full introduction of the TPD mean they are dumping stock so they can close down and avoid the cost of registration.
As Dave Dorn of the NNA has stated, unless you are a manufacturer of eliquid or hardware there is no reason for you to register anything so stop panicking. Your only responsibility in a bricks and mortar store is to make sure that no one under the age of eighteen enters your store or purchases from you

Was this 'in the news'?

All stores across all sectors have a massive mark up. An iphone costs about $250 to make inc parts and labour however Apple will happily sell them in the UK for $1000 (equivalent).

Vape shops have staff, ground rent etc. so you'll be paying more than sourcing items yourself from China, that's how commerce works. Maybe these stores have old stock they want to sell, maybe they want out and are shutting up shop, maybe there's new products coming in.
The markup on eliquid is unbelievable, that £35 bottle of 30ml juice probably cost a pound or two to make so there's plenty of wiggle room. There's profit at £3 per 30ml, depends on your business model, again, that's how commerce works.

Might be best to save this section for stories that were in the news and are pertinent to vaping. ;)
