Hello all,

Just wanted to ask if it is normal for the gradient lines on the syringes to wear off after just a handful of uses ?
And if not where do you guys/girls buy decent ones from ? , as I have purchased a good few from reputable vaping shops, and all of them so far have worn off after a week or so !

Also what do you clean your bottles / syringes with ? I have just been using weak washing up liquid over night, then plain cold water to rinse (12hrs or so) specifically to get the smell out of the bottles that have had strong flavours in.
Would that stuff that is used to clean baby bottles with (sorry can't think of the name) be any good ?

Cheers

This happened to me so I asked the question aswell I got told to put clear nail varnish over the lines and numbers!

And it works a treat

Sellotape over the numbers also works. As for cleaning, just hot water for me. It all gets used again a few weeks later for exactly the same purpose, so no biggie.

Yeah, I use Milton fluid for the syringes but not the blunt needles as it's not supposed to be used with metal. I just run them through the ultrasonic cleaner with some acetyl alcohol in the water (and the lid up for ventilation) then again with a plain water rinse.

Rinse, rinse and rinse..... warm water. Ultrasonic is good if you have one.
Syringes are disposable items, to a point, unless you're buying glass ones.

Cool ... thanks guys, is it OK for a single bloke to buy nail varnish ?? :) good tip though, i'll have to invest in some.

Miltons , that's the stuff I was thinking of, will look into the cider cleaning stuff too.

Thanks all for fast responses and tips.

I use milton tablets but as someone else mentioned not recommended for metal i fill the sink up first with original fairy liquid a couple drops to pre wash then drain rinse put half a sink with hot/warm water put in half a milton tablet it removes the smell and sterilises for 15 mins then after that fill half again with cold water and leave for a little while. Dont worry about the milton aswell as it is used for baby bottles so isnt harmful but i do rinse to get the smell away and never experienced any foul tastes or smells after mixing a new batch of liquid

Thanks Chap, i'll give this procedure a whirl, hopefully it will get rid of the tobacco smell from some of my bottles !
Need to buy some more 1ml syringes as they are all useless now, and get some nail varnish.
Just need more space and more bottles to mix all the lovely juices I can ! the book shelf is now a bottle shelf :)
Cheers.
