I've not suffered with flooding/gurgling or dry hits on the GT since making my cotton wick longer than needed and fold the extra back into the well avoiding the air hole. I leave 1mm poking out for juice feed.

You have lift the coil directly above the hole.....if you lift it whilst you still have the screw driver resting in the grooves that helps massively......i leave about 2mm each end

yea, should be right above it. I've noticed what look like tiny wisps of burnt juice coming through the wick holes too.

Right, got a 2mm 1.2ohm contact coil on it with a bit of cotton. Cotton usually gives me a massive nic headache, so I'll be testing it sparingly until I get some weaker juice later this week.

Going ok with cotton/contact coil but my god it delivers that nic

I haven't used cotton much, and was very sparing with it - I honestly thought that it would leak like hell, but it didn't leak at all for the first day, and only the odd drop on subsequent days. No burnt hits whatsoever - I find that once you've had a couple of burnt hits with a tank, the burnt juice/crud gets into the remaining juice and ruins it. Not a big deal on a mini protank, but definitely a concern with a 5ml tank.
