Just got some 26g 317L and wondering what the target ohms should be? I always aim for 0.15 on Nickel and 0.25 on Titanium.

I just tried a dual coil setup on a Bellus and it seemed way too hot. I did contact micro coils and glowed them first to get rid of the hot spots.

Did a similar build on an RDA and it seems OKish, but not as good as a titanium build. Getting about 0.33 to 0.37 on both.

Yeah I know the site, very handy and all, but I'm asking about target ohms for a stainless steel build for TC. Like it doesn't state on there that 0.15 is the ideal for a nickel build or 0.25 is the ideal for a titanium build. Different wires have an ideal resistance so you alter your build accordingly. With Ni that's about 12 wraps of 28g and Ti 10 wraps of 26g at 2.5mm.

Just wondering what to aim for to get ideal performance.

haven't gone as far as SS... TI is next
I found everything I needed on NI200, NI80 and NiFe30 on steam and never tried to hit any targets... just build and then like or dislike
sorry can't help but I am sure that some other apes will, when they back from the pub...lol

There is a minimum below which you shouldn't go with TC Builds but the truth is the HIgher you can get the resistance of a TC build the better - The higher the resistance the more resistance change per degree therefore the more accurate it will be...

@chimerax to get TC precision equivalent to a 0.15 Ohm Ni200 build or 0.25 Ti build (both are close to 1 milliOhm per degree C), you need to aim for around 1 Ohm coil resistance with SS - at 0.35 Ohm with SS, the accuracy is only 1/3 in comparison.

See: https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/...threads/tc-accuracy-and-wire-selection.87131/

Also on the Steam Engine wire wizard, look for the "TC precision" rating in the blue "Results" box. This value is in microOhms per degree C, I find it's best to stay above 500, closer to 1000 is better - 1000 is where you are with a 0.15 Ohm Ni200 or a 0.25 Ohm Ti build.
