I am in need of some help with temp control.

The device i have is vaporshark DNA200.

Atty is Geekvape Eagle with coil HBC-SO3/SSTC which is Staggered Fused Clapton SS316L 0.2ohm power rating 40-70w

I loaded up the profile on the DNA200 for 316 which is preset so i changed the wattage to 40w and the temp to 480F

What i get is almost nothing from it then temp protection flash up on screen i dont want to play around with the settings with out getting some advice first.

TC tends to work much better when the coils are spaced. When they're fused it messes with the resistance readings being taken by the mod. That sounds like a meaty coil you've got in there- and it's fused.
I'm pretty sure it'll be a fantastic vape in wattage mode though.

Just incase I'm wrong-which is entirely possible because as much of a DNA nut as I am, I'm rarely in TC mode with them, I'll tag a couple of folks who I'm sure will know because they like their TC.

I am running it at the mo in wattage at 40w and the taste is over the moon beats my tfv4 hands down. I am a MTL vaper at the moment.

That's a big coil for MTL [emoji4]. In my very humble opinion an RTA/RDA will beat pretty much any pre built coil for flavour. It doesn't matter how you're vaping as long as you end up satisfied and you're safe.
I've no experience of the tank but that's a very nice device you have. I'm a DTL vaper, but it didn't come naturally. I had to teach myself how to do it and I find it much more satisfying now.

@Katfish 0.2 Ohm is very low for TC with SS. The change in resistance as the coil heats up may be too small for the mod to measure properly, power mode might be a better option with that build. For TC I'd go for somewhere around 0.5 Ohm or more, you may have to get some different wire if you want to vape TC, I use 28g core SS Clapton (crazy wire co) for single coils in the 0.6-0.7 Ohm range.

Ok, so I've had a look at these things on Vapin Fagins review and it looks like one of the problems is that they wick them pretty tightly, too much wick will give exactly the result you described. Try really soaking the coils and wick then run it in TC Mode - if you get a few good vapes and then it drops off again you'll know that the wick is getting strangled and resulting in the coil getting hot too fast to really vapourise any juice. You can then tyr rewicking with less cotton through the coil and see what you get...

one of the first things I learned about TC:

minimum of 0.15Ω for most materials
but a minimum of 0.6Ω for satinless

Danb explained it nicely and has a mahoosive thread on here somewhere breaking it all down to explain why - I don't do the science bit but my experience has been that this works out true.
I also TC SS claptons at times - the same wire as Danb and MrNumpty
