Yep thought so@killgore yes by "cold" we actually mean "room temperature".
TC is really temperature guessing based on resistance changes as the coil heats up. If the initial resistance is incorrect then everything from that point on is off.
I shall try doing thatI've had issues in the past where dna mods have refused to change the resistance because the new value was similar to the previous one... try putting something on with a very different resitance then putting your desired atty on and take a new reading.
alternatively take a few puffs, read the hot resistance then let everything cool down and take a fresh reading.
Shall i do it with another ss coil at say .8 (i have .5 at the moment)I shall try doing that
Yeah, just at room temp...View attachment 146498
Ive rewicked it and there is no resistance when pulling wick yet it still seems to be lacking any substance
When you say atty should be cold you mean just at room temp, not straight out of the fridge or after its been fired on a mod
All the TC discussion you need should be here - https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/...diy-discussion/temperature-controlled-vaping/To be honest I'm jumping in at the deep end here with tc vaping,I'm pretty confident with my coil making abilities and ive got a good grip on most aspects of vaping but where I can look to have a read up on an easy intro into temp control.
