It is indeed a good one, what percentage did you mix it at?
You're right I've just mixed red burly at 0.15, 0.25, 0.35, 0.5, 0.65, 0.75, 1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8% .... 10ml samples, I'll leave them for 3 days as advised and let you know, my findings. ... wouldn't want to miss out on any of the experience.
It's close... according to my scales 7 drops was exactly 1.5% when I made those testers for my mate.
Honestly, when we are mixing this low it's probably more accurate to do a 10% solution if you want to be accurate.
@Simon G @StrawberryRipple i wouldn’t go to the effort she does either but it’s the principle that’s important, so you can understand the flavour it’s important to start low and work from there. @Rickster , who likes a strong blend, says 0.15 red burley in a mix, for example.
i just think starting too high seems wasteful and risks missing what these flavours are all about.
but each to their own.
I'm really getting used to this classic cigarette.
It's really an unpleasant taste, but really enjoyable. It would work well sitting under some apple and ginger I think.
not sure i’m going to like this. but i am intrigued. might mix some up tomorrow. what strength are you at? i’ll no doubt go for 0.5
I mixed it at 1% like I said..... but I didn't realise FLV recommend starting it at 0.25%
I'd try 0.25 and if you really want it strong go up to 0.5% but I wouldn't want it any higher than that really... and you know me.
It's not rich, tasty or anything like that.... I think I would only use it as a additive to make something more fag-like. It doesn't have much 'flavour' even to me, just that taste you get after smoking a fag when you haven't smoked for a year.
hmm on second thoughts i might leave it in the box with the pucker...
Honestly, unless you really want an authentic 'chewing on a dog-end' taste I'd probably leave it until the end.
I'm quite curious to see what effect a touch of pucker would have on one of the darker, sweeter tobaccos.
