The Flavorah Tobacco Lounge

Start low for sure, in my case 0.25 up to 1%, measuring/ weighing 0.25 in a 10ml bottle is a faff, i was using 30ml bottles but i may not get through them. I think drops is the way to go, I'll weigh off 10 drops or so and calculate it, up or down, from there. I remember 3 or 4 years ago, someone, really took the piss (of me), for mixing by drops - the worm has turned :D

one drop from these is about 0.02g. so i drop in a 10ml will be 0.2% i think?

It's a yeah and a no from me.

1: everyone should use whatever methods suit them.

very true.
2: they are wrong about the max 1.4% FLV blueberry muffin, you can stop there and enjoy the nice blueberry but for the muffin to come though at all you can take it much higher.

of course, it’s a matter of preference.

3: you might think one drop tastes in a 30ml good on it's own but try adding that 1 drop into a mix of tobaccos and you probably won't even taste it.

that might sometimes be the case, although normally most people use less in a mix than they would as a tester so i think in most cases it wouldn’t be.
4: I think it really depends what you are trying to find out, I'm trying this classic now at 1%, it 's clearly too high. I use 20ml bottles, I can easily add some more vg/pg and make it 0.5% ... I wanted to know what happens when you mix it higher. What did I waste? a few drops to learn a valuable thing about this concentrate.

this is illogical to me. like with every new unknown thing you are introducing to something, the best way is to start low and work up. starting high and working down is madness. too high won’t taste good. but any level from one drop up might taste good, which you will miss.

also, what if you half it and it’s still too strong? you’ll need to decant it to dilute it more.
5: I don't think there's anything important there for your average mixer, just a load of finicky and fussy procedures.
there definitely is, and it’s that they are very strong and can be used in very low amounts.
6: I think I'll stick with the Flavorah numbers as starting points, which seem a little lower than I prefer anyway.
i’m sure they’ll be happy about that. companies always recommend more than you need. they want you to buy more.
7: I'm missing nothing.
of course you are. somebody said red burley is good in a mix at 0.15. you are missing all of the flavour experience at each concentration below the amount you decide to start at.

anyway don’t be stroppy :D

edited to fix quotes.

Nobody can tell anyone the best way to mix, each to their own :)
Anyway, I have the Arabian in the Unity rta (fantastic tank btw), jeez, this stuff is like vaping tree bark, hope it mellows, it's not horrible, I just need to man up, whatever the f that is.

how strong have you mixed it? i went for 0.5, a bit strong but i do like it. going to decant and dilute it to 0.25 i think. it reminds me of something familiar. i have some blend ideas planned for it, will prob start by adding stuff to this tester. :)

anybody tried the virginia yet?

0.30, and that's too high, unsteeped, imo.

tried some tatanka. another good one, it doesn’t seems as strong as the others so far. it has familiar flavour notes in it. it has that rose like flavour that companies seem to associate with marlboro or “red” for some reason (beta-damascene?).

It is indeed a good one, what percentage did you mix it at?

You're right I've just mixed red burly at 0.15, 0.25, 0.35, 0.5, 0.65, 0.75, 1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8% .... 10ml samples, I'll leave them for 3 days as advised and let you know, my findings. ... wouldn't want to miss out on any of the experience.

btw, this classic at 1% is the closest thing to a real fag I've ever tasted. It's strong but it's no stronger than the rollies I used to smoke, it has exactly the same bitterness and nasty aftertaste that I got last time I tried a fag. This would be spot on for a smoker imo. I've been vaping it all evening watching the darts and it really does feel like I've been smoking.

It's close... according to my scales 7 drops was exactly 1.5% when I made those testers for my mate.

Honestly, when we are mixing this low it's probably more accurate to do a 10% solution if you want to be accurate.
