The Flavorah Tobacco Lounge

I'm with @zouzounaki, on the percentage thing, esp. with the flv pack (and Inawera's), less is definitely more. The flavours shines at lower percentages, too high a percentage and I miss the nuances.

it’s the case with a lot of FA too. i think this is most especially so when you are blending flavours. too much just leads to losing all of the subtleties and risking a confused mess of over stimulation.

this virginia is a strange one. i think it must be this, it seems it’s so dry tasting it has gradually sucked the life out of other flavours. it’s been sitting a week or two, and tasted decent when i tested it. i’ll leave it to sit longer and see what happens.

Only just seen your post  those left in your quoted post, are what we both have (in common). Btw, Flv Wood Spice, how spicy is it, how similar to FA Oakwood is it please? not much I reckon :hmm:

I'll try it out over the weekend if I get a sec mate, I've not used it yet.

I'll mix it solo to get an idea then dump it in a tobacco and see what that does.

I don't think I had FA Oakwood... or if I did I didn't like it and dumped it, I don't really remember. :)

I know it hasn't steeped, but it's so dry it tastes like dust, FA Fig to the rescue, or leave it?

@andi52 i think that’s too much virginia. it would be for me, i think it calms down a bit after a steep so maybe stick it away for a few weeks. but that hay thing you get with too much of it might be what’s making it dry tasting.

Smoky Blue's Winstin Tobacco:

0.20% Cream (Flavorah)
0.80% Kentucky Blend (Flavorah)
0.12% Red Burley (Flavorah)
0.80% Virginia Tobacco (Flavorah)

9 days steeping, this is now (and already) really rather nice, manly :)

i might try this. seems a bit much virginia, though.

the one i have on the go with horned toffee and atmos fig is fantastic now. the flavours have coalesced into something totally different from the sum of it’s parts. need to make a bigger bottle of it.

Supposed to have lime wedge in it, I cant do citrus and don't have it anyway. I think one could reduce the percentages, but you would have to do it across the whole recipe? Sounds nice, that toffee and fig, what has it coalesced into, flavour profile wise?
